Artists Working
No visit to downtown Sebring is complete without stopping at the Yellow
House Gallery & Studios. This beautifully restored old home at 1989
Lakeview Drive houses eight artists' studios, with one or more artists, as
well as the Highlands Art League Members' Gallery. It is a part of the
Artists' Village being restored by the Highlands Art League.
Each month a new exhibit is hung in the Juried Members Gallery, either
with member artists' works or featuring a visiting artist. A reception is
held on the 2nd Friday evening, from 5pm until 8pm, coinciding with
Destination Downtown Sebring. (formerly Gallery Walk).
Studio
artists are often found painting or crafting in their studios. Original
art, as well as prints, gicleés, note cards, art tiles, jewelry, pottery,
baskets, sculpture and painted furniture, are among the offerings for sale. Some
artists use their studios to conduct small classes.
The Yellow House is staffed by the studio artists, members and volunteers.
